With the phenomenon of smart phones, texting has become enormously popular. A city of South Korea installed flickering lights and laser beams to remind texting drivers to pay attention to the road.
If a person is texting a driving, yellow, red, and blue LED lights will flash to drivers. Along with drivers, pedestrians who are walking and texting will be warned by laser beams from nearby light poles. If pedestrians don’t notice the flashing lights, an alert will pop up on their phone. So far, it has had a 83.4% success rate.
With other countries starting this trend and having success rates, it's only a matter of time before it makes it this way.
