Cutten Green Park
This project was the second phase of parks implementation outlined in the District's Parks Master Plan, which was completed by EHRA in 2007.
A Beautiful Outdoor Oasis
Northwest Harris County Municipal Utility District No. 6 is located north of Beltway 8 and SH 249 at Cutten Road and West Greens Road. This project was the second phase of parks implementation outlined in the District's Parks Master Plan, which was completed by EHRA in 2007. Utilizing the site of a recently demolished former wastewater treatment plant provided an opportunity to create a passive park space for District residents. EHRA worked with the District's board members to develop conceptual design options for the park.
Following the residents' desire to create a passive, natural space, the park showcases over 40 species of native trees and plants, which can be viewed from a curvilinear pathway system constructed of decomposed granite. These paths separate experiences within the park, including a council ring comprised of four 4-ton boulders, a natural stone waterfall and multiple seating areas. Additional amenities within the park include low-voltage lighting, a drinking fountain and an emergency kiosk.
