Project Overview

A Beautiful Trail System

In 2010, Harris County began improvements to roadways adjacent NWHCMUD 6.  Altering West Greens Road into a cul-de-sac provided an opportunity to extend the existing trail system along Greens Bayou further west.  This extension provided over 900 linear feet of additional trail for District residents.  The 8-foot wide, 1,500 linear feet of trail was constructed of 6-foot decomposed granite and two 12-inch concrete curbs to match the existing trail.  Additional amenities along the trail include benches, litter receptacles and native landscaping.
