Identified as a top priority during the development of the District’s Parks Master Plan, this portion of trail was the first phase of over two miles of planned trails to provide connectivity and recreation for District residents.
EHRA completed a site-specific planning and visioning study for the proposed 470-acre San Jacinto Boulevard District (SJBD) in Baytown, Texas.
EHRA performed preliminary drainage area delineations for nine creek crossings and calculated approximate 100-year flows for each culvert crossing. Culvert structures were sized for each of the six crossings, ranging from 48” round pipe culverts up to dual 5’x5’ box culverts.
In 2006, Caldwell Companies sought to create Towne Lake as a community where residents and services could be connected by water. Their vision included boat docks and marinas augmenting traditional walking trails to navigate a vibrant residential community. EHRA was the perfect partner to take Caldwell Companies’ vision and create this livable suburban oasis.
The purpose of this project was to convert the existing at-grade crossing of Brazoria County Road 56 (CR 56) and State Highway 288 (SH 288) into a diamond interchange that includes a new overpass bridge and providing access to the newly developed Meridiana Development. Coordination with TXDOT, area landowners, utility companies, and Brazoria County was integral in obtaining approval and acceptance of the project. The main design challenge for this project was to accommodate double intersections on the west side of SH 288 to tie into existing access roads with two-way traffic and a new southbound on-ramp within a close proximity. EHRA coordinated with TxDOT throughout the project from preliminary concepts for the intersection and bridge through final design and construction. Each component of this project was designed in accordance with TxDOT standards and criteria.

EHRA Engineering is honored to have received the Peer’s Choice Award at the Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS) 2023 Design and Awards Gala that was held on Friday, March 3. The organization itself is a wonderful outlet to build a network of talented A/E/C professionals and enhance or obtain new skills to advance in your career or leadership. The annual gala recognizes the outstanding marketing and communications achievements of firms across the Greater Houston region. The proceeds of the gala benefit Casa de Esperanza, a local non-profit organization protecting abused and neglected children and families in need of support.
EHRA’s entire marketing team including, Lindsey Woodard, Chris Butcher, Cassie Faber, Kassie Talley and Megan Haas put forth tremendous effort in 2022. They produced a magnitude of new and exciting material for our firm throughout the year and faced stiff competition in the pool of firms up for awards. Of the 37 submissions across seven different categories, the EHRA team graciously accepted the Peer’s Choice Award for our new website design and launch.
EHRA’s new website features a total new design and look, and it tells the complete story of the firm—our leaders, history, projects and achievements. We are proud of the work we put in daily, and even more thrilled to have a functional outlet to showcase that work to the world.
We would like to thank the SMPS organization for a magical “Starry Night” with entertaining co-hosts, Tia Baker and Mindy Rueda Cernosek. We would like to congratulate all who received accolades for their work, and to once again, say thank you to all of our supporters in helping us achieve Peer’s Choice.
As a firm, we are incredibly proud of the work our EHRA marketing team continues to produce. This is simply the beginning of EHRA’s next chapter, and we are excited to share with you all that is to come.
